Our Services

We provide Senior Leader Coaching, Peer Coaching and Team Development Coaching. We begin with understanding the challenges that are driving the need for greater effectiveness or change. We tailor an approach to the style of the leader, team and organization in service of those challenges.

Throughout the work, we partner with clients to create momentum and sustain progress, increasing client capability over the course of the relationship.

We advise and work with strong leaders who face challenging agendas.

Senior Leader Coaching

As thinking partners, we help “C-suite” executives and other senior and high-potential leaders create new awareness and take actions that will drive specific outcomes while building their capacity for leadership.

The scope of the work focuses on breaking through current challenges and often includes one or more of the following areas:

  • CEO or new leader onboarding
  • Clarifying organizational strategy and top outcomes
  • Getting the right people “on the bus” (and the wrong people off with honor)
  • Correcting suboptimal organizational and/or team performance, including time-to-market, cost/profit product
  • Linking teams and individuals to outcomes
  • Crystallizing or refocusing their leadership approach
  • Identifying and addressing barriers to success (both organizational and people barriers)
  • Managing and influencing complex stakeholder relationships in order to get results

Q: What results have you helped leaders achieve?
A: Two recent examples illustrate our work and our impact: As one example, we partnered with the President of a global engineering company who hoped to ascend to CEO. We helped him prepare for the role, using the Board’s requirements as the framework. Concurrently, we provided counsel as he readied his team for a new leadership dynamic. He went on to win Board approval and is now the company’s CEO. We continue to work with him and members of his team.

In a second case, we worked on strategic influencing with an SVP of New Products. As a result, the SVP garnered new support from key internal stakeholders to redefine the nature of how products go to market. The impact of his renewed capabilities was huge: Multi-million dollar savings in suboptimal investments and accelerated development of high potential products.

Our goal is to create high impact.

Team Development and Coaching

We guide teams and their leaders through transitions and goal achievement, focusing on both infrastructure (e.g., goals, roles and process) and capability (e.g., relationships, influencing, critical conversations, collaboration, conflict management) and using change-sustaining principles.

Our work most often centers on creating and operationalizing:

  • A team Quick-Start™, to get new teams and projects out of the running blocks and past the finish line with appropriate speed, effectiveness and optimum results
  • The re-start of a team that is off-track
  • The top organizational outcomes (i.e., critical results, etc.)
  • A team charter
  • Operating agreements (i.e., the process and behaviors critical to reach organizational outcomes)
  • Team relationships and networks for effectiveness and delivery speed

Q: What successes have you had with teams?
A: Recently, we worked with a new CEO faced with merging two businesses with very different cultures. We helped the leadership team focus on their future. They learned to abandon discord and build productive relationships. We worked one-on-one with leaders who were not meeting the performance bar. The team went on to forge a new partnership/alliance and perform well above expectations, gaining recognition and rewards from the Board of Directors.

We also helped the Executive Director for a key franchise reform a struggling team, establish trust and create effectiveness. The team was then equipped to bring a critical brand to launch two months earlier than expected, resulting in a multi-million dollar short-term return to the organization.
