Representative Engagements

  • Establishing a Foundation for Growth. An innovative early-stage, venture-funded green rewards and loyalty company wanted to position itself for continued rapid growth that maintained the values on which the company was founded. Kimberly worked with the organization to establish a baseline and develop objectives and metrics for medium and long term growth within the lens of creating a Great Place to Work. In addition to creating and implementing an organization-wide survey and 360-degree interviews in all departments, she created metrics and plans for growth aligned with the business objectives.
  • Preparing for a Successful Second Generation Handoff. The patriarch of a family financial services business was poised to hand over the reigns to his daughter within 18 months yet had not engaged in succession planning activities. Kimberly partnered with the emerging leader to establish an effective development plan to help her build credibility, develop her leadership acumen and create a seamless transition plan.
  • Entrepreneur Transitions In-House. Kimberly coached the owner of a successful hospitality consulting business in evaluating an opportunity to take a senior executive role with a client organization. She partnered with client to clearly identify her professional and personal objectives, assess the benefits and liabilities of making the change and position herself optimally in her new role.

Professional Background

Kimberly joined Liberty Business Strategies with more than 15 years in human resources and consulting positions in a variety of industries. Before starting her own coaching practice in 2007, Kimberly held the position of VP, Director of Human Resources for Managers Investment Group, a mid-sized financial firm. While there she advised executives, managers and employees on all aspects of their working lives while also overseeing HR functions including strategy, recruiting, performance management, employee relations and training and development. Prior to working at Managers, Kimberly was a consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers (formerly Coopers & Lybrand) in their Global HR Solutions practice. Kimberly is also researching the careers and lives of women over 10-15 years out of the top MBA programs.

Education and Training

Kimberly is a Certified Hudson Institute Coach (CHIC) and in the process of becoming credentialed through the International Coach Federation. She is also a qualified Myers Briggs (MBTI) administrator and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).

Kimberly received her MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business (formerly Chicago GSB) and completed her undergraduate work at the University of Pennsylvania.
