He has extensive expertise in executive coaching, career management and cultural competency. Drawing from a deep understanding of human behavior and organizational structure, Enrique coaches executives from mid-level to C-level management. Through his successfully proven coaching process and unique style, many executives have developed the vital tools to reach their full potential, often exceeding the expectations of their employer.

Representative Engagements

  • Achieving Executive Success: Tapped by an international pharmaceutical company to lead its Northeast Research Center, a well-known surgeon brought a wealth of clinical expertise and a stellar reputation to his position, but limited business savvy. Enrique coached the executive through the transition, working with him on executive presence, leadership capabilities, and strategy development. Behaviors that had worked in the hospital to understand and explore issues were less successful in a corporate setting. With Enrique’s guidance, the executive was able to analyze the corporate culture and its existing structure to find the best path to long-term success. He developed a strategic mindset that enabled him to think beyond the present and develop a measurable, effective strategic plan to guide the organization’s development and growth. He formed an executive team to lead the organization and, together, they successfully executed the strategic plan. Within the first year, the organization had achieved a major transformation and was well on its way to realizing its annual goals.
  • Structured Programs: In addition to individual coaching, Enrique offers seminars and programs on topics ranging from: Effective Communication; Management and Leadership Skills for Managers; Effective Team Building; and Diversity and Cultural Competency. Professional Background

As Director of Career Development at Deloitte & Touche LLP, Enrique led a team of coaches in providing career development coaching to partners and client service professionals. On behalf of AT&T, he co-designed and implemented career development centers for managers, technicians and operators. As a Senior Consultant with the New York State Education Department, he provided training on Cultural Competency and Career Management capabilities to professional counselors and coaches throughout New York State. He was Associate Director of the Adult Career Counseling and Resource Center at the City University of New York.

As an educator, Enrique serves on the faculties of New York University and Columbia University. His students include both business professionals and graduate students.

Education and Training

Enrique holds an Ed.M. degree in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College at Columbia University and a B.A. in Psychology from Hunter College/CUNY. He is fluent in both English and Spanish.
