Roland Livingston is a senior consultant with Liberty Business Strategies, Ltd. Dr. Livingston has more than 25+ years of experience as a business and human resource executive and as an educational leader. He has worked extensively in:

  • Coaching senior-level executives and teams.
  • Coaching key leaders in profit and non-profit environments.
  • Providing training and organization development consultation in the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean.
  • Directing the human resources and labor relations activities in the businesses in which he has worked.
  • Facilitating work process redesign and establishing production methods and standards as an industrial engineer in manufacturing environments.

Clients

His clients have included key managers at Boeing, J. P. Morgan Chase Bank, Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing, Harvard University Dining Services, and the National Imagery and Mapping Agency, and Fannie Mae. His work with clients has been successful in helping them to develop and implement individual change strategies that result in greater team effectiveness and employee satisfaction. He incorporates Emotional Intelligence theory and utilizes a wide array of psychological instruments, such as MBTI, FIRO-B, and Benchmarks 360° to provide the feedback that enables clients to begin to change. In his academic work, Dr. Livingston teaches Leadership and Organizational Behavior as a faculty member at Wilmington University and Colorado Technical University. He has also taught at Johns Hopkins University, The University of Texas at Dallas, and Columbia Teachers College. He is a principal trainer at the Leadership Development Institute at the University of Maryland University College and at the Rensselaer Learning Institute in Hartford, CT.

Education and Training

Dr. Livingston received his doctoral degree in Organization Change from Pepperdine University where his research focused on evaluating the effectiveness of leadership development training and education. He received his Master of Arts Degree in Human Resource Development from American University. He has also done graduate study at New York University and has earned numerous professional certifications including Myers Briggs (MBTI), Conflicts Dynamics Patch (CDP), Emotional Competency Inventory and Leadership Effectiveness Analysis (LEA 360°).
